karachi becoming resilient?

Im posting this because im confused.... actually.. im hoping against hope that im right..

Are karachites becoming resilient to the ever going terrorism here? What with the bomb blasts and shootings and strikes... i was thinking that the first thing to go (along with peoples confidence) is the stock market...

Now mind you, im not an investor or even a finance graduate... but i do follow the KSE index and try to relate it to various happenings around the country. I started noticing this trend after the last bomb blast near the amreekan counsulate... the stock market index stayed pretty much where it was.... then came the bomb blast which took out the Sunni Tehreek leaders and the ensuing strikes.. the market stayed pretty much stable.. now with the latest killing i reported on yesterday... i was expecting the market to go even faster in its downward trend, when lo and behold.. i found out that it actually *rose* almost 4.8%!!! and it continued that way today as well..

so... is it that people have actually started getting confidence that these events will not shake the city's roots like it did in previous decades and life will continue to go on no matter what... or is it some kind of govt. conspiracy?? (i just added that in cuz everything eventually does get classified as a govt. conspiracy. LoL).
